Dear Daddy ❤️
I never realized how unique you wanted me to be, whenever you forced me to go play piano.
I’ll admit I did it half heartedly at that age, but now I am most grateful as I learnt how valuable creativity is in this world.
I never realized how adventurous you wanted me to be, when I wanted to go see a city during vacations, yet you made us go through rigorous hikes instead. I’ll admit, I never felt like doing 18km long hikes that time, but the view atop the mountain was so magnificent that I learnt to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of raw nature.
I never realized how broad you wanted my knowledge to be, when you told me to lay the fiction down, and read about politics, religion, science, and all else happening around me instead. I’ll admit I wanted to stick to the same old happy ending books, but later I learnt how essential it was to be on path of being a polymath.
It is amazing how sometimes distance makes us realize more than closeness ever did.
You know so little, daddy, of how much you inspire me each day, and how much I want to be like you. I know I have let you down many times- But I am constantly amazed how nonchalant you are with my mess-ups, and that gives me everything to get back on my feet, stronger than the last time.
I am so fortunate to have a superhero like you.
Hope I can manage to make you proud one day 🙂
Oh, and Happy Birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day.
From
Your little girl
