While I couldn’t be there in person to celebrate their wonderful day, I chose to reflect on the simple pearls of wisdom I gathered through their relationship.

Pyaare Dadu-Dadi,
Thank you for teaching us the meaning of true love –
it’s not always perfect, but it’s real.
It’s about repairing when things get broken, not throwing them away.
It’s about taking care of each other through sickness and health- When they both took care of each other:from a sneeze to broken bones.
It’s about knowing that sometimes there is love in a scold and anger too.
It’s about ignoring and accepting the faults and follies.
It’s about facing both the stringent and exuberant times side by side.
It’s about setting an example for all those around you.
It’s about being grateful and embracing each other.
It’s about 59 years…… 🙂
